Where relevant, coastlines for regions were derived from Geoscience Australia’s GEODATA Coast 100K data product to ensure consistent coastline representation for all jurisdictions. Inconsistencies between internal region boundaries on state borders were rectified by applying geometry information from Geoscience Australia’s GEODATA 100K data product. The final dataset is supplied in Geocentric Datum of Australia 1994 (GDA94) geographics. Areas generated from this data should be calculated using an Albers equal area projection for Australia. The attributes have been checked for accuracy. Tables were thoroughly checked, with each individual polygon attributed and individually assessed. Attributes: Field name Description REG_NAME Specifies the name of the region. REG_TYPE Specifies the type of region where: RFA = Regional Forest Agreement CRA = Comprehensive Regional Assessment STATE Specifies the jurisdictions in which the region occurs 1 Nominally set at a scale of approximately 1:100,000. The extent, boundaries and attributes of the data conforms with its intended use. Differences may occur between this dataset and corresponding state-based datasets due to, but not limited to, positional accuracy, variation in interpretation of original true coverages and consistency enhancements from the application of Geoscience Australia’s GEODATA product.
