Description: This is the Administrative Boundaries theme - Locality polygon dataset (Suburb boundaries) provided by OMNILINK Pty Limited, extracted from PSMA Transport and Topography dataset. The Administration Boundaries product includes all administrative boundaries included in contributor's data, however within South Australia the northern section is unincorporated within the Localities theme and no data is available. Administration Boundaries data will be revised on a regular basis. Geographic Polygon Data are produced from varying format data provided from the Jurisdictions. The Commonwealth and State/Territory Governments collect data to delineate the areas covered by each tier of government within Australia. They also provide data for the urban and non-urban areas within their jurisdictions. Within South Australia the northern section is unincorporated within the Localities theme and no data is available. The Administrative Boundaries dataset is comprised of six themes: 1. Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Boundaries 2. Electoral Boundaries 3. Local Government Areas (LGA) 4. Suburbs/Localities 5. State Boundaries 6. Town Points. Field description: LOCALITY_PID: The Persistent Identifier is unique to the real world feature this record represents. LOCALITY_NAME: Name of Locality or suburb DATE_GAZETTED: gazetted date DATE_CREATED: Date this record was created DATE_RETIRED: Date this record was retired. LOCALITY_CLASS_CODE Describes the class of locality this is (eg. G, D, H, T, etc). LOCALITY_CLASS_NAME Name of the class of locality this is (eg. Gazetted, District, Hundred, Topographic locality, etc). POSTCODE: This field stores the postcode for the locality from the Suburb dataset. STATE_PID: State Persistent Identifier STATE_ABBREV: State Abbreviation
